Some people can service them, but only someone who truly understands the complexities and minute details associated with door installation and service can ensure the attention and skill required to perfect your door projects.

These obviously would be the entrance and exits of your home, but perhaps less obviously include the doorways to garages and patios as well. These need to be secure and act also as a weather seal protecting your home from loss of cool or warm air. Security, saving on your energy costs AND keeping out pests are all duties of this most important staple of your home’s construction.
Exterior doors can include designations such as standard solid core swing doors, with any number of panels or lites, fire doors with self closing hinges, sliding glass patio doors and even French or Dutch doors, although Dutch doors are rarely installed as exterior doors due to difficulties in weather stripping and making them water tight.
Whether a slab or the whole assembly including the frame needs swapped, you can count on an Allworx Handyman to have the know how and skill to sort it right out for you.
The storm door is a staple for wyoming homes. Perhaps you've heard that storm doors are over-rated, but here in Wyoming, insulating and saving energy is a must to keeping your home warm throughout the winter time as well as helping to keep the warmth out during the hot season. By creating a solid barrier where air loss is kept to a minimum, the assembly acts as the support cast to the main door, often times even having handle and bolt locks.
Allworx does tons of storm doors. It’s pretty much down to an art form here. Theres even an add-on special offered when installing a storm door at the same time as replacing your front door.

…yeah, writing is not the main focus over here. We fix things. Writing about it isn’t necessarily a strong suit. You understand, right?
The single, most important aspect to insulating and keeping your space moderately temped is airflow. More specifically, it is the STOPPAGE of that airflow. You’ll never have a well insulated environment without ceasing the ability for outside air to flow, mesh and exchange with your inside air.
This is why weather stripping on your exterior doors is so important. If air is allowed to flow freely between the inside and outside through cracks around your door, you’ll have a much harder time keeping your inside space a comfortable temperature. You
l also spend a lot more on heating / air conditioning.
Thats why Allworx Handyman services is the choice to get your weather stripping in tip top shape and ready for the season ahead. We know what it takes and can implement a plan to keep some money in your pocket and the outside air where it belongs. Call for an inspection today to see how we can get your weather stripping in good shape and keep you and yours comfortable in your space.

But who puts these doors in? Is this a diy project? Can one just install a pet door no problem? Depends on your level of skill and understanding of housing systems.

DOORS! Let me just tell you a little bit about the different types of doors we do, behind the obvious or standard flush or paneled interior & exterior doors. You probably didn’t give it much thought, but there are more types and styles of doors than I think anyone would be ready to agree with if I threw out a number up front. There are TONS of options available, but we are just going to cover specialty doors here.
You’ve got…
Fire Doors, French doors, Dutch style, barn sliders, pocket, glass / patio sliders, rolling sheet, sectional steel, overhead swing, louvre options, folding / accordion doors, security grate and Security Storm, beaded and vinyl strip curtained, saloon, revolving, collapsible, pivot, and the ever captivating Murphy Door. If we are thinking more traditional, panel, doors with lites, that type of thing is certainly a tried and true, well versed project around here. There are also shed and outbuilding doors as well as garage door maintenance and repairs (no installs on overhead doors).
I can’t say that I’ve personally had experience with every type of door, unfortunately. However, I’m always adding to my repertoire as well as always looking for an opportunity to cross a new one off of my growing list of successful completed projects.
Ah, thresholds. Part aluminum, part wood. Or vinyl. Or all wood. Or with poly-vinyl inset. Or inclusive of a rubber door bottom insert. Replaceable this. Adjustable that. Tons of innovation throughout time. We truly are living in the future.
Yet, we still need to replace our thresholds from time to time. They rot out, perhaps the sill is off due to builder‘s error, or sometimes the sill pan (rigid or self adhesive) was neglected to be included or was installed incorrectly, there are a ton of reasons why thresholds aren’t always lasting the life of our door. Sometimes, it’s beneficial to replace the whole unit. Other times, just the threshold needs replaced.
Luckily, you’ve got a company that does that, right? Of course you do. Allworx Handyman Services does doors. Thresholds included. Call Now for your door problems or questions.
At times, you may require assistance with a door closer, or, more common, a spring hinge.
Both devices are made and installed to ensure a door stays shut. Someone uses the door, and then it is forced closed by the door closer or the spring hinge.
You might see door closers all the time at the local gas station or office building.
Spring hinges are a little more elusive, as they are most commonly used on entry doors from the garage to the interior of a house as part of the fire door system requirements in place by code.
You might never think or guess to look at what is a normal looking hinge, but that’s just what they look like.
Either type of closing unit can fail or underperform, and that is why you need a door professional to install and repair or replace these units so that your door closes at the right speed and is adjusted to the right specifications. that way, you can put to rest your worries on whether or not your door is keeping you safe and doing its job!
Allworx Handyman Services works on door closers and spring hinges In and around Cheyenne, Wy
In today’s day and age, peepholes initially may seem to be a thing of the past. Plus, on doors already outfitted with a peep hole, what if there is a problem or repair necessary?
Call the door professionals at Allworx Handyman Services to mitigate your peep hole problems promptly so that you can get back to screening your unexpected visitors For safety and piece of mind.
Ah, the futuure!
It’s coming a little too fast for my liking, however, one of my favorite future gadgets to become widely available to the masses is definitely the video doorbell.
You can view any time, from practically anywhere, to have comfort in knowing what’s going on at your house.
You can pretend you aren’t home when the in-laws show up unannounced.
They capture evidence of crime, namely theft of packages, among other out of this world phenomena and crazy occurrences we would have never had the opportunity to take out a phone and record.

Unfortunately, it’s a fact of life that places will get broken into from time to time. It’s a real bummer, and the only hope that really crosses my mind when I see a Storefront window smashed out is that I hope nobody got in the criminals way or injured in any way. Luckily, a lot of times this happens at night time when there’s nobody in the shop and nobody gets hurt as a result.

Code Requirements (obviously) are established to ensure that buildings are safe for occupancy and to ensure they don’t come to an end, catastrophically or otherwise, minimizing the chances that people in the vicinity are not harmed or worse due to incompetencies or bad building practices going unchecked.
If the code is followed, you can be sure that neither specific circumstances nor the elements will cause damage to systems in place to help it operate correctly and smoothly, thus increasing the life of the structure as well as the safety of the occupants.
One big violation I see consistently is the lack of sill pans or the correct adhesive flashing installed correctly in collusion with the building envelope. This is a shortcoming I personally find either lazy or ignorant, neither of which is acceptable when it comes to your investment. And it is not only doors o see this issue on, but also effected are many windows.
Whether or not the majority is simple laziness and neglect or plain old ignorance to the requirement, there are more than a handful of times that a door or window is being replaced where it shows obviously that someone without a working knowledge of the importance of exterior openings flashing did the original or the last install.
Often times, that is the reason Allworx is called to come out and figure that the unit needs replaced in the FIRST place.
In order to ensure that your building and its openings are protected, Allworx Handyman Services always ensures proper flashing and sill flashing is in place and functional BEFORE installing a new door or window unit so there aren’t problems later on down the road.
See the handy diagram below to observe the proper way to flash an exterior opening with adhesive backed flashing systems…
…and then, Call an Allworx Handyman today for your door and window replacements and make sure your investment is properly protected, your piece of mind is able to be had and that your replacements are flashed and installed right, every time.
all pricing base pricing and covers labor only. Allworx can find your door for you, or you can source your own, but ALWAYS make sure the measurements are taken correctly and the fine details noted. If you’re unsure, always have your Allworx Handyman take the measurements for you to avoid any mistakes or confusion with the process.
This covers the base price for removing and replacing a basic pre-hung exterior door. Front, back, side to side, these details typically do not effect price.
Slab swaps are often times more expensive than the whole unit due to the fine tuning and attention to detail (not to mention the headache) that goes into making these projects successful.
interior doors are a little more forgiving and not quite as difficult as their exterior counterparts,
however, can at times take up just as much time to get right.
The typical request is a slab swap, which, again, is usually more than the whole pre-hung unit being replaced.
Storm doors are a popular addition to the front door on many people’s homes. It is important to note that the cost for replacement and clean installation are usually right around the same, +/- about 20 or 30 bucks.
